The Dublin Laptop Orchestra at the National Concert Hall

The Dublin Laptop Orchestra perform as part of the Contemporary Music Centre's new music::new Ireland salon on 30 May.

The Dublin Laptop Orchestra.

The Dublin Laptop Orchestra (DLO) was established at the start of 2011. They seek, in their own words, ‘to bring some theatricality and physical presence into electronic music performance’, and recently lived up to the spirit of that goal by collaborating with traditional fiddle player Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh and dancer Nic Gareiss. We reviewed an August 2011 performance by the group here.

The DLO will perform in the Kevin Barry Room of the National Concert Hall in Dublin at 6.00pm on 30 May. The concert is the last in the Contemporary Music Centre’s new music::new Ireland salon pre-summer season, and features music by members David Collier, Samarai Leech Rachel Ni Chuinn and Jenn Kirby

Admission is free but booking is strongly recommended; nch.ie.
