Emerson Quartet and James Galway in Dublin
Emerson String Quartet and James Galway perform in the National Concert Hall on 2 September as part of the Great Artist Series.
Grammy Award winning ensemble the Emerson String Quartet will perform with flautist James Galway in the National Concert Hall in Dublin on 2 September.
The concert is part of the NCH’s Great Artist Series, which will also see performers such as Evgeny Kissin and Alison Balsom visit the hall this year.
The programme for the Emerson/Galway concert features a range of flute-led chamber music, from Debussy’s Syrinx to Arthur Foote’s A Night Piece to two Mozart flute quartets. The Emersons will also perform an arrangement of Barber’s Adagio for Strings, and Dvorak’s String Quartet in F Major.
