Equinox Quintet is not a name very well known in Ireland, typically they perform in The Hague and are responsible for the twice-weekly jazz gigs at the Pavlov bar and restaurant there. However, the last time Equinox performed here they did a ten-date tour playing the music of Thelonious Monk and are a formidable group with a traditional swinging jazz sound.

Joining Daly and Nicholas in Equinox are the experienced Dutch musicians Sjoerd Dijkhuizen on tenor saxophone, Bob Wijnen on piano and Marcel Serierse on drums.

Tickets are €10, the concert starts at 8pm on 4 February, 2012.
