Inishowen Traditional Singers Circle Workshop Series

Inishowen Traditional Singers Circle Workshop Series

A free-of-charge singing workshop with Len Graham is the first in a monthly series run by Inishowen Traditional Singers Circle with the assistance of the Arts Council.

Starting this Friday, 10 February in the Market House, Clonmany, Inishowen, Co Donegal, the workshops will last two hours, covering two songs, with each student receiving words, background notes and a CD recording of the tutor. At the end of the series those who have attended will receive a special ITSC Certificate. Graham will also be at the Friday night session afterwards in McFeeley’s bar.
This will be the first of many projects as part of It’s a fine thing to sing, a project to encourage younger singers to carry on Inishowen’s singing tradition.
The other singers in the series are Roisín White (March)
, Patricia Flynn (April), Maurice Leyden (May), Kevin Mitchell (June), Jim MacFarland (September), and Derek Williamson.
