Rolf Hind at Trinity College

On 9 February, the pianist Rolf Hind opens a new series of concerts hosted by the new Music Composition Centre in Trinity College, Dublin.

The Centre, which was launched by Bill Whelan on 21 January, is a new initiative aiming to promote contemporary composition culture at Trinity. The Centre will offer a new MPhil in Music Composition programme, alongside ongoing concert series and seminars.

Hind’s concert will take place between 4pm and 6pm in in the Boydell Room in House 5 of Trinity College. The programme, which Hind will introduce and discuss from the stage, includes Pierre Boulez’ Incises, Helmut Lachenmann’s Serynade, and Hind’s own a single hair, a jasmine petal, seven mattresses, a pea….

Admission is free, but tickets should be reserved by emailing Claire Hefferon at compcent [at] tcd.ie.
