Rozario and McHale Tour Ireland

The Mumbai-born soprano Patricia Rozario and Irish pianist Michael McHale will tour Ireland in January, reaching Dublin (23 January), Mullingar (25 January), New Ross (26 January) and Kilkenny (27 January).

Rozario and McHale will perform a programme of songs by Britten, Liszt, Schubert, Mozart, Puccini, Wallace, Obradors, Richard Strauss, Bizet and Verdi.

Rozario, who was awarded an OBE in 2001, has premiered works by, among others, Arvo Pärt and John Tavener — the latter has written over thirty works for her.

McHale’s new album, The Irish Piano, features compositions by Irish composers such as Bill Whelan and Donnacha Dennehy, as well as arrangements of Irish airs by McHale himself.
