RTÉ NSO Closing Summer Concerts

The RTÉ NSO close their summer series with concerts celebrating young artists and Dublin City of Science.

The RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) draw their Summer Evening Season to a close with three upcoming concerts, which will celebrate Dublin City of Science 2012 and three emerging Irish talents in turn.

On 13 July music by Gershwin and Holst will be used to celebrate the ‘music of the spheres’, building on a theme derived from EuroScience Open Forum 2012. Soprano Claudia Boyle and conductor Courtney Lewis (the latter making his RTÉ NSO debut) will lead a performance of a selection of ‘love songs from home and heart’ on 20 July.

The season closes on 27 July with a performance of music by Berlioz and Bizet, led by conductor Gavin Moloney and featuring mezzo Máire Flavin, also making her NSO debut.
