Editor/Editorial Team for Journal of American Folklore
Overview
The Journal of American Folklore (JAF) seeks a new Editor or Editorial Team for a term starting January 2025. Renowned in folklore studies, JAF is a double-blind, peer-reviewed publication.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing editorial processes, content quality, and decision-making.
Addressing academic publishing challenges, including digital transformation and equity in folklore studies.
Requirements:
Demonstrated editorial vision, extensive field knowledge, and a robust academic reputation.
Proven editorial, organizational, and communication skills.
Structure:
Proposals for innovative team structures are welcome.
The current setup includes an Editor-in-Chief, Senior Managing Editor, Associate Editors, an Editorial Assistant, and an Editorial Board.
