Dave Flynn’s Irish Memory Orchestra are happy to announce our 2017 Singer’s Scheme which involves the development of an exciting new chamber choir to be based in glór, Ennis, Clare.
The Irish Memory Choir will echo the groundbreaking work of the Irish Memory Orchestra, mixing Irish traditional, classical & jazz music in memorised performances.
Several outstanding singers who complete the 2017 scheme will be named section leader for their vocal range and given professional performance opportunities.
This is a once-off opportunity to become a founder member of the choir and to follow in the foot-steps of Róisín Donohoe, who, since winning the 1st IMO Singer’s Scheme has toured with us in Korea; sang in the premiere of Dave Flynn’s Sean-Nós Opera Mná Brian Boru; performed on Fleadh TV to thousands of viewers; as well as being appointed a core professional IMO member.
