All are invited to come along to this fundraiser for Caitlin Rose Ford. Recently confirmed attendance to play/sing includes Eoin O Dillon (ex-Kíla uileann piper); Barry Gleeson (voice - numerous CDs); Racker Donnelly (Irish folk poet extrordinaire) & Jack and Angela Plunkett (guitar, voices).  Many other traditional musicians and singers are sure to be there on the night.  Tickets can be purchased in advance for €5 by ringing Diarmuid Breathnach on 087 6855967 or cost €7 on the door.

Caitlin Rose was born prematurely with cerebral palsy, a condition which causes the muscles and tendons in her legs to be in a state of permanent tension.  She has been accepted for an SDR (Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) operation in the USA this year to help overcome this condition and she will need a substantial programme of physiotherapy if she is to walk normally.

Caitlin Rose Ford lives with her mother Sorcha, father Irwin and brother Kian in London.  She’s a lively, intelligent and sometimes mischievous four year-old (birthday in July) who sways rhythmically to dance music and who has learned to ride a bicycle (with stabilisers) – but she still can’t walk more than a few steps unaided.

CAITLIN WANTS TO DANCE!
Caitlin is very determined.  When not much older than two years old, she was tottering across the living room, throwing herself in a rush from one piece of furniture to the next.  With your help, Caitlin Rose will be able to not only walk unaided but maybe to dance.

This fund-raising effort in Ireland is organised by her grandfather, Diarmuid Breatnach, with the help of family and friends.  You can see Caitlin Rose on video and information on her condition, along with updates on her progress, a local newspaper article etc. on www.caitlinroseford.com

Donations may be made on-line through Paypal on that site and arrangements made to donate directly (avoiding the 3.4% charge) also at a link on that site.
