Having grown up in a musical household, Liam Flanagan has been playing music from an early age, learning from Gary Shannon and Con Herbert in his native North County Cork. He is a member of the popular traditional music group "North Cregg", with whom he has performed, recorded and toured extensively. Liam has also toured worldwide with internationally acclaimed trad band Danú. A popular player and teacher on the trad scene, he has shared the stage with many great musicians including Derek Hickey, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, Ciarán O Gealbháin and many more...

Claire O’Loughlin also grew up in a musical household in Co. Derry learning tin whistle, flute and fiddle from influential northern teachers John Kennedy and Denis Sweeney. Her journey to Cork in the nineties led to a degree in music at UCC where she majored in traditional music performance. During her time in Cork, she was a finalist in BBC2’s Young Tradition Award and appeared with many Cork-based musicians including Mícheál Ó Suilleabháin, Mel Mercier and the Moynihan Family. Now based in Millstreet, Co. Cork, Claire regularly plays in the Elle Marie O’Dwyer Band and enjoys teaching traditional music to her teenage students.

Born into a musical family in County Cork, Jim Murray’s early years were spent immersed in Irish music. At the age of four, he discovered his first love – the button accordion. Soon afterwards, Jim’s passion for the guitar grew fiercely and it was on his tenth birthday that he was given his first guitar. Jim’s talent as a melody player would now pay dividends to his accompaniment skills - he intimately understood the music he was accompanying. In1998, Jim began his professional career being invited to tour Japan and Australia with accordion legend Seamus Begley whilst also in the same year, touring America with piano accordion ace Alan Kelly. In 1999 Jim was invited to become guitarist with world-renowned Irish musician Sharon Shannon. To this day, Jim remains Sharon’s “right hand man”, having recorded and toured with her over five continents. He also released two critically acclaimed albums with long term partner Seamus Begley in 2001 and 2008 which collectively scooped many prestigious awards. Since Jim’s arrival on the world stage, he has gained the respect of both national and international musicians and has performed and recorded with artists such as Sinead O’Connor, Steve Earl, Shane McGowan, Altan and Mary Black to mention but a few.

Together, these three musicians bring to the table a repertoire from both ends of the country as well as tunes from contemporary greats such as Liz Carroll and Charlie Lennon.
