PRINCIPAL CELLO (sitting no. 2)

The BBC CO has a vacancy for a player who must be able to demonstrate the following:

Essential Criteria:

• Excellent and inspiring professional orchestral and solo playing ability
• Excellent sight reading skills
• Considerable experience across a range of musical styles
• Knowledge of the BBC Concert Orchestra repertoire

You will also need to demonstrate:

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and develop successful and productive working relationships with a diverse range of people
• The ability to both lead and work collaboratively to inspire and contribute to performances that meet the highest musical standards by providing artistic direction and by motivating members of the Section

Auditions will be in December 2017 in London.
