Departmental Coordinators provide organisational support to specified departments within the Faculty of Music, assisting the relevant Heads of Department with many aspects of the department’s activities which revolve around performance training and activity. Postholders will liaise with students, teaching staff, external artists and members of the management in the delivery of classes, masterclasses, concerts and assessments.

Working in a small team of four coordinators under the Assistant Music Manager, the postholders each provide support to their designated department(s) within the Faculty, including Composition, Jazz, Performance, Piano & Keyboard Instruments, Musical Theatre, Strings, Wind Brass and Percussion, and Voice. For the current appointment, the post will support Strings and Piano & Keyboard Instruments.

The successful candidate will have strong administrative experience, outstanding communication and organisational abilities, excellent IT skills and the capability to deal with a busy and varied workload, sometimes working under pressure to meet deadlines. You will also have a real enthusiasm for music and for supporting the training of young aspiring professionals.
