RATHDOWN SCHOOL
Located on a 16-acre site in Glenageary, Co. Dublin, Rathdown School is a voluntary, fee-paying school for girls, providing Pre-School, Junior and Senior level education to both boarding and day pupils. Founded in 1973, Rathdown School is consistently ranked among the top schools in Ireland and aims to offer a high-quality, modern, challenging and liberal education in an inclusive and friendly learning environment.

Rathdown School welcomes pupils from Pre-School age (3 years) to Leaving Certificate level (18 years), delivering a broad range of academic subjects in small class groups, combined with a wide and varied programme of extra-curricular activities. The School also provides a boarding experience which is central to school life at Rathdown, providing a warm and caring home-from-home atmosphere, and which incorporates a dedicated international programme for overseas students.

Rathdown School’s first-class facilities include state-of-the-art boarding rooms, a purpose-built Performing Arts Academy, a Design and Communications Graphics Laboratory, exemplary ICT resources and extensive sports grounds with fully-equipped sports hall, artificial turf hockey pitch, tennis courts, tartan cricket crease and 200m running track.

RATHDOWN PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY
To further the School’s stated goal of providing a rounded education to its students, Rathdown School established a very successful Music School in 2004. The facilities and tuition on offer in this Music School are available to students and to members of the general public on a fully commercial basis.

The Board of Directors now wish to further develop this element of the School into a full Performing Arts Academy, by extending the range of creative arts supported and taught to students of Rathdown School and to members of the general public. It is the goal of the Board that this facility becomes a key differentiator of the Rathdown School offering, experience and reputation in the near future.
