Southbank Centre passionately believes the arts have the power to transform lives. This vision attracts over 25 million visits a year. Our employees are at the centre of delivering our mission, which is ‘To draw everyone possible to this loved site and captivate them through our unique arts programme and warmth of our welcome’.

The development of the festival approach to our artistic programming and entrepreneurial activity has dramatically increased the number of people who come to Southbank Centre and the time that they spend here. A growing proportion of our work is free to access and is created in participation with a very diverse range of communities and groups. Our festival site attracts hundreds of thousands of people who have never attended a cultural event before.

We celebrate diversity in our programming, our audiences and our team. We are committed to our workforce reflecting the diversity of the people of London. By attracting people to work for us from a broad range of backgrounds with diverse attitudes, opinions and beliefs we can continue to deliver the kind of exciting events and activities you would expect from the Southbank Centre.

The Executive Producer will support the Director of Producing and Presentation in the realisation of the artistic vision across all festivals, art-forms and spaces across this extraordinary site. The Producing team works in partnership with the festival curators and programmers and leads on the delivery of the festival programme within scheduling, operational and budgetary constraints.

The Executive Producer will oversee the programme in detail for the next 24 months and will work with the Director of Producing and Presentation on projects up to 5 years in advance. They will be responsible for overseeing the staffing requirements for all artistic activity across all festivals and art-form programming.

You will have extensive experience of working in a multi-disciplinary arts venue at a managerial level. You will be managing a highly experienced Producing and Event Management team and will be expected to cultivate a team atmosphere which is positive, energetic, creative and developmental.

We are looking for a strategist, motivator and negotiator, with the ability to spot, and deal with, potential problems before they materialise. You will be a skilled project manager, with significant experience of managing substantial budgets. We are a world–class organisation and attract creative, demanding and often brilliant people. You’ll need to be savvy, resilient and influential - and have proven yourself as someone who can make things happen with diverse groups of people.

Finally, the pace and scale at Southbank Centre can be breathtaking. In addition to our millions of visitors, we work with hundreds of schools and are home to four resident orchestras. We put on over 2500 new artistic productions, installations and performances a year. This is a remarkable place to work and our people require the ability to think, act and learn with speed and agility.
