When there is treasure to be uncovered we don't mind the work. For our opening night of 2019 we have an array of diamond artists for you. Come along on the night and be dazzled by the light! Let the good times roll ...

Sarah Clancy is an award winning page and performance poet from Galway in the West of Ireland. She has published three collections of poetry, the most recent being ‘The Truth and Other Stories’ (2014) from Salmon Poetry. Her next collection is on the way although it has not got a name yet. We have seen Sarah perform at events such as last year's march to the Magdalene Laundries and have been blown away by the power of her words and performance. Spirited, hard hitting and beautiful. Truth is beauty. Don't miss this.

Cat Dowling writes beautifully dark pop songs. Her voice has been described as one of the most wonderful and evocative in Irish contemporary music. Her husky and achingly intimate vocals will draw you in from the outset.

The acclaimed Irish singer, songwriter and performer previously fronted Babelfish and Alphastates. In 2010 she felt the need to write under her own guise, the end resultis Cat’s beguiling new album, “The Believer”. If you’re looking for a mixture of finely tuned song-craft, deftly honed lyrics and gently spun music then look no further. We are very proud to welcome this superbe talent to our small stage.

“one of the most wonderful voices in Irish contemporary music – and its husky tones are used to mournful perfection on her latest single, Come On.” (Irish Times)

“The sexiest voice in Irish music is back, and The Believer is the best thing she’s ever done.” (Hot Press)

If you were at our December event, you may remember Chris accompanying Romanian singer and cellist, Aleka Potinga. We have great pleasure in managing to get this stunning guitarist to play a solo set for us this month. Solo jazz guitar has been a long-held tradition pioneered by legendary figures such as Joe Pass, George Van Eps, Lenny Breau as well as a seminal solo guitar recording from these shores by Louis Stewart.

With this project, Chris hopes to define solo jazz guitar in his own terms using his diverse range of musical influences from grunge and math rock, to electronica and drum and bass as well as inspiration from the current political situation in the world to create a work of music for solo guitar that is both varied and deeply personal. This will be a performance you really won't forget.

And then there's YOU. Our happy, clever and daring audience - utterly capable of independent thought and always willing to take a chance and see something brand new. We couldn't do this without you!
