Singer songwriter Claire Watts, originally from Lackagh, Turloughmore, Co Galway Ireland and living in Miltown Malbay for the past thirteen years releases her EP “Dreaming Out Loud”, a collection of original contemporary folk songs, on 7th February 2015. Claire, well known as an Irish traditional flute and fiddle player and music teacher, also works within the Embrace Arts and Disability programme run by the Clare Arts Office. 

In 2012, Claire completed a Diploma in songwriting with the London Song Company and her new EP “Dreaming Out Loud” is the culmination of work initiated during that year. The EP was recorded, mixed and produced by Martin O’ Malley of Malbay Studios and features musicians Josephine Marsh, Mick Kinsella, Sharon Howley, Peadar Tomelty, Martin O Malley, Danny Byrt and vocals by Shona Blake and Gerry Hegarty. 

Claire launched her new EP on the 7th of February 2015 at Christchurch Protestant Church, Spanish Point with guest musicians including Josephine Marsh, Mick Kinsella, Sharon Howley and guitarist Chris Wood. She will then be playing a series of gigs in Counties Clare and Galway.
