The Head of Orchestral Management is a key member of the Senior Management Team of the BBC SSO, and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the BBC SSO players and orchestral support team. He or she will manage the personnel systems of the Orchestra and lead the orchestral support team in the running of rehearsals, concerts, and recording sessions in the UK and overseas. 

The Head of Orchestral Management will have a full understanding of the professional standards required for creating first class performance and broadcasting output and will possess endless enthusiasm in a pressured but exciting department.
