The Westminster School of Media Arts and Design is located at Northwick Park, Harrow, and embraces state of the art media facilities including 14 professional recording studios (three surround sound studios), a new teaching recording studio, Music Lab and an array of TV, post-production, radio, film and multimedia facilities.

The role of music technician is one of support for both students, academics and staff of WSMAD and will involve a variety of activities relating to courses and technical areas.

– To support the academic delivery of Music related courses within WSMAD, including support for BA, BMus Commercial Music Performance, MA Audio Production and Sound Design.

– To assist students in their practical course work, to ensure that the music facilities are properly maintained, supported and managed. Duties include maintaining and managing room/equipment bookings.

The post is intended for technical staff with a detailed knowledge of audio and visual equipment, used in recording studio, rehearsal spaces, teaching rooms and live venues. A willingness to engage with the creative and practical aspirations of staff and students is essential.
