The Royal College of Music is one of Britain’s leading conservatoires. It provides specialised musical education and professional training at the highest international level for performers and composers.

One of the RCM’s central administrative departments, the Faculties Office supports the work of the Heads of Faculty through managing the logistical aspects of faculty teaching, projects and other activities for their students. We are currently looking to recruit a full-time administrator on a permanent contract. The successful applicant will be joining a creative team in a professional and stimulating working environment, and will work closely with students, professors and Heads of Faculty.

The post will focus on the orchestral faculties with duties that include assisting with faculty class arrangements, faculty festivals and projects, RCM competitions and providing administrative support to the relevant Heads of Faculty. This is a team-based role and will involve daily contact with other key RCM departments, Heads of Faculty, students, and eminent musicians - many of whom are RCM professors. You will need excellent interpersonal, IT, communication and organisational skills, the ability to manage a varied workload and to work as a member of a team. Strong administrative experience is required, as is knowledge of classical orchestral repertoire.
