Orchestral Projects and Planning Officer
The post holder is responsible for insuring that the University’s orchestral and instrumental ensemble activity is organised effectively and professional as part of an ongoing student engagement programme, in consultation with the Head of University Music and Concerts and the Director of Orchestral Studies. The post holder is part of the University Music and Concerts Team and as such contributes significantly to the public image of the University and Music Department. The role involves extensive liaison with external professional musicians, other members of staff, and visiting conductors. The post holder will support the Director of Orchestral Studies and work with the Music Society to deliver a programme of concerts and a schedule of activity that encourages best practice for all participants. The Orchestral Projects and Planning Officer reports directly to the Head of University Music and Concerts.
