Marketing Officer, Scottish Chamber Orchestra

The Scottish Chamber Orchestra is looking for a highly organised, strong communicator to join the marketing team. The Marketing Officer (Campaigns) is responsible for maximising awareness and first time attendance for SCO concerts, events and workshops.

This is a challenging role, perfect for someone who wishes to specialise in arts marketing and communications, who works well with others, has experience in managing key relationships with suppliers and has an interest in classical music.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

- Build awareness campaigns for all concerts and key outreach activity

- Build and maintain positive relationships with key media suppliers and promotional partners to plan and deliver creative marketing campaigns

- Build press campaigns in conjunction with an external PR consultant

- Drive web traffic through social media and digital campaigns

- The successful candidate will:

- Have strong negotiating skills and be able to demonstrate an ability to plan projects

- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience in writing press releases

- Be able to manage resources effectively

- Calmly manage a high volume workload and work to tight deadlines

- Be a strong team player and also be able to work alone

- Be passionate about the written and spoken word

- Have an interest in technological advances
