We're kicking off the year with our 1st birthday event on Sunday 27th January with the following great acts listed below. To celebrate our birthday with us, we're very happy to welcome the proprietor of Lilliput Press, Antony Farrell to do a reading on the night from one of his many beautiful publications.

Claudia Schwab is an Austrian violinist and vocalist based in Ireland. She brings together traditional Irish, European Classical, Indian Classical, Austrian and Eastern European Folk. Her musical journey has taken her all over Europe and North Africa performing with orchestras, to India where she studied Hindustani violin, and to the west of Ireland where she became involved with Irish traditional music. Whilst regularly touring with Irish bands such as Tucan and Ants on Glass, she also promotes her own solo project 'Yodeltrip'. youtube.com/watch?v=luUg1QcMQs

Colm O’Hara is a musician and educator. He plays trombone with North Strand Kontra Band, Yurodny Ensemble, Thought Fox and ReDiviDeR. Recent collaborations include an improvised trio with Fergus Cullen (bass clarinet) and David Lacey (electronics/percussion). Colm is also musical director of the Wicklow-based Kilbride and Lakeside Concert Band, where he himself began his journey as a young musician. colmohara.com

Nick Roth is a saxophonist, composer, producer and educator. His work explores the liberation of improvisation from composition, the impact of natural form technology and the contemporary interpretation of traditional music. Nick has worked with some of the world's leading contemporary artists from across a wide spectrum of musical disciplines. He is the artistic director of the Yurodny Ensemble, artistic co-director of the Sefiroth Ensemble and a founding member of the Water Project. He also performs regularly with ReDiviDeR and Tarab. Nick is a director at Diatribe Records, Ireland’s leading independent record label for new music. nickrothmusic.com

Olesya Zdorovetska is a performer and composer whose deep love of musical expression transcends genre and style. Recent solo projects include explorations of traditional music from her native Ukraine, investigations of Spanish poetry from the Middle Ages to the Twentieth Century, and ‘Texts for Nothing’, based on the work of Samuel Beckett. Collaboratively, she sings with celebrated Salsa band ‘Dislocados’ and electro-acoustic chamber ensemble, Sefiroth Ensemble. In 2011 she wrote the soundtrack to the short film ‘Little Thing’ directed by Marianna Volskaya and premiered at the ‘St. Anna’ Film Festival in Moscow last March. olesyazdorovetska.com
