Winner of Jerome Hynes Award – New Work

Recently appointed as the new RTÉ Quartet in Residence, ConTempo performs with regular collaborator Paul Roe. They recently recorded Golijov’s ‘Dreams and Prayers of Isaac the Blind – (“The piece deftly blends prayer and dance and leaves the listener in a state of grace that is all-too-rare in modern music”)  and pair it here with Birtwistle’s Clarinet Quintet. The quintet will also give the first performance of a new work commissioned from the winner of the Jerome Hynes Young Composers’ Award 2013.
