Dublin Stage Premiere of The Sleeping Queen Operetta by Michael William Balfe
Balfe’s only operetta, The Sleeping Queen composed to a libretto by H.B. Farnie, was first presented at the Gallery of Illustration in London in 1864. This performance, a DIT vocal and drama department collaboration, provides a rare opportunity to experience the original work in its first staging in Dublin.
