Greenshine are delighted to make their first trip to Estuary Session, at Ballynacally on the banks of the Shannon. The RTE FOLK AWARDS BEST GROUP NOMINEES are a Cork based trio consisting of Mary Greene, Noel Shine and their daughter Ellie. Their songs have featured on Irish airwaves for many years and their tracks have travelled far beyond their homeland and into the waiting ears of music lovers worldwide. Greenshine's music straddles the boundaries of Folk, Indie and Americana with outstanding harmonies, skillful stringwork and fine songwriting.
Their 2021 single, White Trails appeared on numerous SONG OF THE YEAR radio lists and their current album NEW MOON ON FRIDAY is racking up the kudos and has been chosen as Album of the Week on multiple radio stations including BBC Radio Scotland. Several of their songs have reached the #1 Spot of the RTERadio1 National Airplay Chart including 'The Girl in the Lavender Dress' which went on to be second most played Irish song of the year of its release on the station. Greenshine members have appeared on the recordings of other artists including Christy Moore, The Republic of Loose, Mick Hanly, Frances Black and John Spillane and Ellie can now add TV Cartoon Voiceover Actor to her resumé for her work on TG4. Greenshine recently performed the closing song on the beautiful TG4 commissioned show 'Ómós do Liam Reilly' a documentary on the life and times of Liam Reilly and Bagatelle which was nominated for an international TV Award. Their original material has featured in a variety of national ad campaigns, film and radio signature tunes.
