The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire is seeking to appoint a key member of staff to its highly successful Jazz Department. The role includes the management and development of the BMus(Hons) Jazz and postgraduate courses in jazz, teaching academic classes, and directing performance coaching as well as working with the Head of Jazz in the development of the new Eastside Jazz Club and the immediate jazz scene in Birmingham.

The successful candidate would be working with a highly talented group of Visiting Tutors who are all established jazz artists on the contemporary music scene. The ability to lead modules that are taught by this highly creative team will be essential and the interpersonal skills required to manage the dynamics between these professional artists and an exceptionally talented student cohort will be paramount.
