Cork Opera House and the Cork Midsummer Festival present Backstage, from Tuesday 19th to Thursday 21st June.

Following last year’s audience favourite Front of House, composer Tom Lane, librettist Lily Akerman and director Conor Hanratty join forces again to bring you a new site-specific opera which explores another side of Cork’s beloved Opera House.

Join an ensemble of colourful operatic characters on a backstage odyssey to the spaces in the building they never want you to see.

Featuring a company of some of Cork’s finest singers and instrumentalists, Backstage is a Cork Opera House commission.
