Music Generation Offaly Westmeath and Youth Work Ireland (Midlands) are seeking tenders for the supply of various musical instruments and equipment.

Background
Youth Work Ireland (YWI) is a federation of 22 Local Member Youth Services and a national office. They support member groups to deliver an integrated youth services model to young people in their communities, meaning that young people around Ireland can avail of a whole range of services and supports if and when they need them.

Youth Work Ireland (Midlands) [YWI (Midlands)] is a regional organisation operating a number of full-time youth work settings and a network of rural youth clubs across the counties of Offaly and Westmeath. In addition, YWI (Midlands) works with a number of organisations to provide a wide range of opportunities for experiential learning to their young people.

Youth Work Ireland (Midlands) and Music Generation Offaly Westmeath partner in delivering a number of performance music education programmes including the Instrument Outreach Programme currently offered in a large number of school and community settings across both Offaly and Westmeath. The Instrument Outreach Programme creates small and large group teaching situations where young people can learn skills on a range of instruments, and experience making music with others. Groups are generally targeted towards beginners but increasingly catering for young people of an intermediate standard of playing.
