Investor Relations Manager, Australian Chamber Orchestra

The Investor Relations Manager is a part time (three days per week) role at the ACO which manages the ACO Instrument Fund – a wholesale managed unit trust which offers investors the opportunity to participate in the ownership of historic stringed instruments.  Key areas include marketing, compliance and administration.

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager and the Chief Financial Officer, the Investor Relations Manager is responsible for successfully managing the ACO Instrument Fund, including seeking new investors, and works closely with the Fund Board of Directors and Senior Management.

The role is responsible for all aspects of the Fund including regulatory compliance, marketing and promoting the Fund, fund administration, investor communications and board coordination and will provide additional assistance to the ACO Administration on other projects, as required.

To be successful in this role, you will be a confident, articulate, motivated and enthusiastic professional with at least five years’ experience in Financial Services preferably in fund management, and tertiary qualifications ideally in finance or business. Additional requirements include knowledge of the legislative and regulatory environment and the compliance obligations for trust structures, high level competency in written and spoken communications, superior organizational and time management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint).

Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant will also need to pass Australian Federal Police and Bankruptcy checks which will be organised by the ACO.

This position is a permanent part time position, three days per week, based in the ACO’s office in Sydney.  There is the possibility for this role to be accommodated within school hours over four days per week. Some flexibility will be required – including evening events and weekend work.
