Marketing and Projects Assistant
Sestina Music seeks a part-time Marketing and Projects Assistant for its 2018-19 season to work closely with the Musical Director and General Manager, under the latter’s supervision, assisting with all aspects of the Charity’s administration, specifically in concert and event management and marketing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music and a proven interest in arts management, good administrative skills, initiative and the ability to work well with our small team of dedicated staff and volunteers. This role would be ideally suited to a candidate seeking valuable experience in arts management in a dynamic and growing organisation.
Duties to include:
- Assisting with all aspects of Sestina’s administration as needed: particularly concert venue arrangements; the travel and accommodation needs of visiting artists; concert tour details. Office administrative duties would include: scanning, photocopying and posting music as required; sourcing and hiring music for performances; managing online ticket booking.
- Assisting with the marketing and promotionof concerts and events, including managing Sestina’s social media platforms; managing and communicating with Sestina’s mailing list using ‘mail chimp’; distributing press releases; maintaining and developing advertising partnerships; organising photography and filming for concerts and events
- Assisting with the smooth running of concerts and events, including box office and front of house duties at concerts; assistance at education and outreach events
