A Call for Scores - Nothing with Wheels, Portland Percussion Group

The PORTLAND PERCUSSION GROUP announces:

A CALL FOR SCORES 

“Nothing With Wheels”

Format:

In order to increase the availability of quality percussion quartet repertoire, the Portland Percussion Group is seeking submissions for a 5-10 minute work for PERCUSSION QUARTET utilizing any instrumentation without wheels (i.e. no marimba, timpani, vibraphone, chimes, etc.).  The capability for each player’s setup to be packed into a suitcase is highly desirable.

1ST PRIZE:

$500

Live performance by the Portland Percussion Group, World Premiere, May 2015

2nd PRIZE:

Audio and Video recording by the Portland Percussion Group

3rd PRIZE:

Score submissions should be in PDF format and labeled (LastName_FirstName_TitleofPiece).  Audio renderings or recordings of submissions are required.  Acceptable audio formats include midi, WAV, and MP3 files, not to exceed 25mb. WAV and MP3 are preferred. Compositions must be previously un-published.

Submit scores and audio files by February 1, 2015 to portlandpercussiongroup [at] gmail.com along with $25 submission fee.  Submission fee can be submitted via Google Wallet or PayPal to portlandpercussiongroup [at] gmail.com.

Prize winners will be notified via email by March 15th, 2015
