Senior Marketing Manager, Digital Communications (Maternity Cover)

London Symphony Orchestra are seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Marketing Manager, Digital Communications
(Maternity Cover – 12-month fixed term contract from September 2019).

The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of the London Symphony Orchestra’s audience-facing digital
communications and marketing channels, including the website, social media and other digital platforms.

Experience and skills required:
1. Educated to degree level with 8+ years’ experience of digital in an arts environment and a Marketing or
Communications qualification, or an equivalent level of skills knowledge and experience
2. Previous experience of devising digital marketing strategy and creative ways to implement
3. Experience of working with a range of digital agencies, consultancies and suppliers
4. Demonstrable experience of project management of large-scale digital projects eg online ticketing
5. A detailed and wide-ranging knowledge of the latest social media and user platforms
6. Substantial experience of creating content for the web
7. Ability to develop, plan and implement effective marketing campaigns to support concert marketing
campaigns, LSO Discovery learning opportunities and commercial activities at LSO St Luke’s
8. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to compose high quality, engaging copy
9. Excellent oral communication skills, including the ability to network effectively, influence opinions and
devise and deliver strong, persuasive presentations
10. Excellent listening skills, with the ability to interpret stakeholder requirements
11. Supervisory skills in a marketing environment
12. Strong IT skills. A good understanding of image editing software (Photoshop), and HTML, XHTML,
CSS, Joomla, web publishing. Fluency in Google Analytics, social media (HootSuite, Tweetdeck)
13. Experience of undertaking analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activity and produce
reports including campaign evaluations
