Deputy Orchestra Manager (Maternity Cover)
Applications are invited for the position of Deputy Orchestra Manager (Maternity Cover) with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
The Royal Scottish National Orchestra is one of Scotland’s national performing companies, with a track record of award-winning performances, recordings and ground-breaking learning and engagement programmes.
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the engagement of additional players, to manage the RSNO’s Professional Access Schemes and to assist with the recruitment of permanent musicians as well as the planning and administration of international tours, concerts and projects throughout Scotland and the UK.
The appointed person will be highly motivated with the excellent personal skills required to work with the RSNO contracted orchestral musicians, a very large pool of freelance musicians and internationally acclaimed soloists and conductors. The role is very broad and the candidate will be able to work on complex tasks simultaneously, cope with multiple and fluid deadlines and have the judgement and vision to adjust priorities according to the immediate requirements of the Orchestra. They will also have a keen eye for detail and be a meticulous record keeper. A driving licence and maintenance thereof is a requirement for this role together with a preparedness to undertake an advanced driving course.

Appointment details
Contract: Full Time (Maternity Cover) from 18 January 2016 to 31 July 2016
Salary: c.£22,000 per annum equivalent
