Féile Binn Éadair, formerly known as Howth Tradfest, is set to captivate audiences with a rich tapestry of Irish and Traditional music in the picturesque fishing village of Howth, 25 minutes from the centre of Dublin. This vibrant festival promises to immerse attendees in the melodies and rhythms of both the past and present, creating an unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts of all ages.
Headlining this year's festival is the incomparable Sharon Shannon, renowned for her mastery of the accordion and her electrifying performances that blend traditional Irish music with influences from around the world. Sharon Shannon will take the stage at The Abbey Tavern on Saturday night, promising an evening of music that will stir the soul.
Other headline acts at The Abbey Tavern include the dynamic ensemble Kíla, the legendary Irish folk rock band Scullion, and the captivating vocalist Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin. These performances are ticketed events, offering an exclusive opportunity to witness these iconic musicians in an intimate setting.
But the excitement doesn't end there. Féile Binn Éadair boasts a diverse lineup of 27 free gigs and sessions spread across six venues throughout the village and hill of Howth. For those seeking outdoor entertainment, select venues have created special spaces for summer gigs. The Summit Inn has the Tramline Stage, a fantastic outdoor performance area, while The Bloody Stream offers the renowned Phil Lynott Stage in their tented beer garden. Meanwhile, The Harbour Bar invites guests to enjoy the Garden Stage, an intimate outdoor setting nestled in their covered beer garden.
