It’s 20 years since composer Donnacha Dennehy founded Crash Ensemble, a group of world-class musicians dedicated to pushing contemporary classical music in fresh directions. As part of CrashLands, an ambitious new project celebrating its 20th anniversary, Crash Ensemble comes to Kilfane Glen, the enchanting old forest outside Thomastown that provided the setting for Loosysmokes’ Behind the Dark last year. Featuring two brand-new, specially commissioned compositions (including a world premiere by Jennifer Walshe) CrashLands promises a magical evening in one of the county’s most enchanting locales.
