Lecturer with Potential Security of Employment in Music Composition

The College of Creative Studies and the Department of Music seek an exceptional instructor of music composition for a Lecturer with Potential Security of Employment (LPSOE) position to foster close collaboration between two music programs at the University of California, Santa Barbara. This is a 100% position, with the workload of the position being split 50/50 between the College of Creative Studies Music Composition program, and the Department of Music in the College of Letter and Science, both at the University of California, Santa Barbara. 

An LPSOE position is a tenure track lecturer position with a primary emphasis on teaching and teaching related tasks. Secondary required responsibilities include professional and/or scholarly activities, including creative activities, especially as they relate to instruction and pedagogy, and University and public service. In addition to teaching courses in both units, the LPSOE will be responsible for: contributions to the administration of the CCS major, advising, recruiting, and admissions in CCS, and working collaboratively with faculty from participating campus departments.
