This is a key role in the Philharmonia Orchestra’s executive team. The Philharmonia Orchestra was created for the purpose of recording classical repertoire with the greatest conductors and artists of the day. Today, studio sessions for film, television and the games industry, as well as audio recordings, constitute a significant percentage of the Orchestra’s schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Taking lead responsibility for maintaining and developing relationships with the Philharmonia Orchestra’s Film Consultant and external recording companies, and for the management of the Orchestra’s recording work
- Producing bespoke events for the Orchestra. These may include fundraising gala events, concerts featuring non-classical artists and events taking place outside the setting of the traditional concert hall. In general, these events will be under the direction of the Director, Residencies and Regional Programme, although on occasion the reporting line may be to other Heads of Department or to the Managing Director.
