The Ardee Baroque Festival is a little gem and never fails to attract enthusiastic audiences with a range of glittering performances in late Autumn. This year, the IBO welcomes the return of flamboyant Italian director Alfredo Bernardini (oboe) for 2 concert programmes with plenty of sparkle and fizz: “Festa a Venezia” and “Reunion”

Italian Oboist Alberto Bernardini has assembled a series of pieces from different Nations, all scored for a similar baroque orchestra group, showcasing the different styles of the era, from the most typical French (Rebel), Italian (Corelli), to the mixed (Purcell, Zelenka, Bach), with a short excursion to the galant style (Seixas).
