WNO Orchestra is a world-class ensemble, earning critical acclaim since its formation as a full-time body in 1970. Nearly fifty years on, 2018 sees the orchestra delivering a varied and challenging main-scale opera programme across the UK, alongside visits to festivals in Hong Kong and the Czech Republic. The Orchestra also performs a wide range of symphonic and chamber concerts with Music Director Tomáš Hanus and the Leader of the Orchestra David Adams. WNO Orchestra has an increasingly-extended remit through its residencies and community work, and strong links have been forged through innovative programmes with the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Birmingham Conservatoire.

WNO’s long-serving Section Principal Clarinet, Leslie Craven, retires in September 2018.

WNO is seeking a dynamic and committed Section Principal Clarinet to join its orchestra.

Deadline for applications: Friday 23 February 2018 (9.00am)

Auditions: W/C Monday 30 April 2018
