BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra Offering 4 Paid Internships

Opportunities aimed at those interested in an ‘off air’ career.

BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra are offering four 8-week paid internships next spring in London. Applicants can be from anywhere in the UK.

The BBC ‘Where it Begins Scheme’ is seeking people who are passionate about music, and who are either already making their own YouTube videos, radio programmes or films, or writing blogs. Interns must be over 18, informed about current music and Radio 1 and 1Xtra content, and available to work across London from 21 March to 13 May.

No qualifications or radio experience is necessary. The internships are aimed at people interested in an ‘off air’ career. It is not for those interested in presenting.
