A new contemporary music weekend titled Tempered will take place in Belfast this November.

Featuring Crash Ensemble, Ian Wilson, Lauren Kinsella, Quiet Club, Chamber Choir Ireland, Ed Bennett’s Decibel Ensemble and JamJar, the event is promoted by Moving on Music and takes place in a number of venues.

On Thursday 5 November at the Crescent Arts Centre, Crash Ensemble perform music by Irish composers in their 20s and 30s, titled Born in the 80s, and on Friday Lauren Kinsella and Quite Club will perform Ian Wilson’s new work The Last Siren in the same venue.

Chamber Choir Ireland’s afternoon concert on Saturday is a tribute to Arvo Pärt, and in the evening, composer Ed Bennett’s 10-piece ensemble Decibel will perform a programme of experimental, electronic and improvised music. The weekend finishes in The Black Box with JamJar hosted by Úna Monaghan and Gascia Ouzounian.
