Irish Composers’ Collective Concert

The Irish Composers’ Collective stages its next concert on 13 December. The concert features the Rhombus Ensemble

The Irish Composers’ Collective (ICC), an organisation set up in 2003 as the Young Composers’ Collective, which aims to support its members’ professional development through the pooling of resources and the development of a community of new music performers, creators and listeners, stages its next concert on 13 December at 8.30pm. The venue will be the Centre for Creative Practices, at 15 Lower Pembroke Street in Dublin.

The concert features the Rhombus Ensemble, a group of five musicians, led by Musical Director Dennis Wyers, each of whom work in a variety of styles and as soloists in their own right.

The programme features music from a variety of ICC members, including Dylan Rynhart (Jim), Anna Murray (Polaris), Donal McErlaine (Four Aspects of the Irish Financial Crisis), Peter Moran (Netherhornpot), Richard Gill (Distraction), Sebastian Adams (Quadrilateral), Dennis Wyers (The way things look smaller the further you walk), and Aristides Llaneza (Untitled).

Tickers for the concert will be available at the door, and are priced at €10/€5 with concessions.

The ICC’s next concert features Sue Rynhart and Abigail Smyth, and will take place on 19 January in the Kevin Barry Room of the National Concert Hall.
