The Richter Collective Announces its Final Show

Independent label and stalwart champion of Ireland's instrumental rock bands is to close with a final concert in November.

The Irish independent record label The Richter Collective is hosting one final big bash to mark its closing at the end of 2012. In the four years the label has been in business, it has released albums from some of the most enduring popular artists on the Irish rock — and particularly instrumental rock — scene, such as And So I Watch You From Afar, Enemies, Adebisi Shank and The Redneck Manifesto. The announcement of its closure has met with an outpouring of disappointment and an pervasive feeling of loss of an important force in Irish independent music. All of the label’s past releases from these and other artists will still be available to purchase online on The Richter Collective website or bandcamp.

The label will close with a bang, with a final gig on 24 November in Dublin’s The Button Factory. On the line-up will be Richter Collective artists Bats, Not Squares and the Redneck Manifesto. Tickets will cost €15, however a special advance guestlist slot is on sale via the label’s website: costing €20, this ensures entry to the show, and includes two Richter Collective releases of your choice on CD or vinyl, to be collected on the night.
