Vicky Langan at Extreme Rituals in Bristol

Irish noise artist Vicky Langan will perform in Bristol as part of Extreme Rituals: A Schimpfluch Carnival.

Irish noise artist Vicky Langan, who performs under the name Wölflinge, will appear at Extreme Rituals: A Schimpfluch Carnival, which will take place at the end of November at the Arnolfini in Bristol.

Schimpfluch was founded by Rudolf Eb.er in Zürich in 1987, gradually expanding into the Schimpfluch-Gruppe art collective, which includes such central members as Joke Lanz (Sudden Infant), Marc Zeier (G*Park) and Dave Phillips (Fear of God, solo). These artists will appear at the carnival.

Schimpfluchian values of confrontation and experiment in performance and idea are evident across the programme for the event, which, alongside Langan, features such acts as Junko Hiroshige (Hijokaidan),  Rashad Becker and the New Blockaders.

Tickets for Extreme Rituals are priced at £15 for day tickets, and £40 for a festival pass, and will be available from the Arnolfini box office. Further information is here.
