The Department of Music at Brown University invites applications for a one-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in multimedia and electronic music. They seek a candidate with broad interdisciplinary interests with evidence of exceptional artistic and technical promise. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the MEME program in the Music Department teaching one course per semester in specific areas of their expertise in electronic music and multimedia, plus run regular technical workshops and critique sessions.

The MEME program (Multimedia and Electronic Music Experiments) offers an undergraduate “track” and a Ph.D. in Electronic Music and Multimedia. MEME actively promotes research, publications, and technology exploring new art forms that combine digital music and sound with video processing, text, human/computer interaction and/or images for applications in concert music, theatre, dance, and installation art.

Applications received by April 1, 2018 will receive full consideration, but the search will remain open until the position is closed or filled.
