Tolka magazine is accepting submissions for its eighth issue until 5 May. Submissions must be previously unpublished non-fiction, including personal essays, memoirs, reportage, travel writing, and auto-fiction, and should be between 2,000–4,000 words in length.

All submissions must be double-spaced and sent as a single .doc, .docx, or PDF file. Simultaneous submissions are permitted, but notification is required if the work is accepted elsewhere. Contributors will be compensated with a €500 fee and will receive a copy of the issue in which their work is featured.

Submissions from both Irish and international writers are encouraged, especially those underrepresented in the arts. Submissions are accepted exclusively through the magazine’s website. Copyright remains with the author, and a response will be provided within three months of the closing date.
