The Irish Youth Wind Ensemble Summer Residential Course 2024 will take place in University of Limerick from Sunday, 28 July to Saturday, 3 August 2024.

The cost is €550, which covers accommodation, meals, music and transport to the concert venue (where applicable).

Applications are now open to woodwind, brass and percussion musicians aged between 16 and 25 during the course and have a minimum of Grade 6 standard (or equivalent).

Auditions will take place in Dublin from 9 to 10 March in Artane School of Music, and in Cork on 16 March 2024 in MTU Cork School of Music.

The closing date for your audition application is Friday, 23 February 2024.

Note: There are provisional plans in place for the Irish Youth Wind Ensemble to tour abroad to perform in July 2025. Because of this, the results of the auditions for 2024 will also stand for the 2025 ensemble. We will not be holding auditions in 2025 unless specific instruments are required.

It is hoped that everyone that applies for the 2024 ensemble would be available to travel in 2025.
