The Fabulous Beast-Liam Ó Maonlaí collaboration, Rian, received a massive standing ovation after last night’s performance in the Heaven’s Gate set of the Visual Centre, Carlow as part of the Eigse Festival. This ‘unplugged’ version, involving no microphones or amplification and a dance floor rather than a stage, will be on in the Bornacoola Community Centre, County Leitrim, near Keegan-Doyle’s homeplace, tomorrow night, 19 June; before a return to the stage version in the Cork Opera House from 21 – 23 June.
