The Arts Council of Ireland is currently inviting applications for its Dance Artist Residency Scheme, aimed at stabilising and supporting a network of dance artists across the country.

This scheme is particularly designed for dance artists in collaboration with arts centres, organisations, festivals, and, mandatorily for Strand 1, a local authority. It offers two strands: Strand 1 for professional dance artists with local authority and arts centre support, and Strand 2 for those seeking mentorship or wishing to develop a short-term residency with a specific group.

The scheme offers a maximum award of €25,000 and is open to individual artists residing in the Republic of Ireland. Interested applicants must apply through the Arts Council’s online services website, ensuring to download and read the guidelines and application form provided. It is recommended to register for online services well in advance of the application deadline due to processing times.

Applications close at 17:30 on Thursday, 22 February 2024. For assistance, applicants can contact Adele Kirwan via email at adele.kirwan [at] artscouncil.ie or by telephone.
